Racha Rkein holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor and brings over nine years of experience supporting individuals through complex emotional and physical health challenges.
Racha specializes in helping individuals struggling with emotional eating, body image distress, disordered eating patterns, anxiety, and trauma. Her work is grounded in a trauma-informed, client-centred approach that integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and somatic-based practices. She has experience supporting clients through cycles of restriction, overeating, shame, and internalized weight stigma, and understands that eating-related challenges are rarely about food alone.
With a professional background in hospital and community mental health settings, Racha provides psychotherapy that considers the emotional, psychological, and physiological dimensions of care. She is particularly passionate about empowering clients to reconnect with their bodies, regulate emotional responses, and build self-compassion.

Yes. Research shows that therapy can be just as effective as medication, especially for mild to moderate depression. For more severe cases, a combination of therapy and medication often works best. Our therapists can collaborate with physicians when needed to offer an integrated approach.
We use evidence-based therapies such as:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – to challenge negative thinking patterns
- Behavioural Activation – to rebuild motivation and daily structure
- Mindfulness and emotional regulation – to manage low mood and stress
- Support for emotional or binge eating – when depression affects your relationship with food.
Your therapy plan is always personalized based on your symptoms, goals, and comfort level.
